Pumpkin Patch (Oregon Style)
Sunday, October 14, 2007
Yesterday we took a short break from deck-building, paint-choosing, and Home Depot-trekking to go buy our pumpkin. Like every one else, we buy a pumpkin every year. But we have never had an experience like this before!
We headed to a farm about fifteen minutes away. Yes, you read that right. FARM. Not the grocery store, not an empty corner lot that once a year becomes a pumpkin and Christmas tree store. A real farm.
Kettle corn kept us happy while we waited for the boat to take us across the lake.
View from the boat
They're still growing!!!
Nat likes this mini
And the winning pumpkin is . . .
Amanda inspects it
Happy with our choice
All aboard the train to go back to the parking lot

wow, look at you guys! lisa, are you sure you just had a baby a few months ago?! amanda is darling. i'm so excited you have a blog now. i can't wait to keep up with you. welcome to the blogosphere! :)
This makes me jealous-- our best bet for pumpkins is Walmart or Frys... you get the idea. Indiana and CA had great pumpkin patches that the kids really looked forward to going to. Halloween is not nearly so fun anymore!
What a fun day, I better find out where this farm is and get over there...so I have pictures to put on my blog.
Yay, you got a blog. Shannon and I were just talking about how we need to bug you about getting one. We miss you so much. Every time a white Sienna drives by, my heart breaks a little. I can't believe how big Amanda is already. And Nat's hair is darling. Ok, gotta get the kids to school.
I'm so glad you're blogging!!! Ezra is right, it is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family. Maddox was so excited to see pictures of Natalie & Brendan. I can't believe how much Amanda has grown. We miss you guys!
